Alice gets it, but Neely steals it back, only to lose it to his dog, who later gets sick from the smoke. Bert next tries to aid his master by holding a lighted cigar at one end of a speaking-tube while Neely puffs at the other. Alice detects the ruse and pours hot coffee down the tube on Bert's neck.
