He helps her out, and they fall in love and make a date to meet in the park at three o'clock. At home, Goofus and his father, Rufus, play football in the living room and wreck the house. Rufus them tells Goofus he is to meet hie bride that Rufus has chosen for him. At her home, Charmette's mother tells her she has also chosen a husband for her. Goofus and Charmette slip away from the watchful eyes of their parents, and keep the rendezvous in the park. The two irate parents search the town for their disobedient heirs, find them separately and drag them home to meet the parent-approved marriage partners. Written by Les Adams See less
