Later, he surprises her while she is swimming in almost her birthday clothes, and threatens to steal her other garments unless she will give him a kiss. She pretends to consent, but instead, steals his auto and makes him chase her. He overtakes her and invites her to a party his mother is holding for him. Wanda, now employed in a hairdressing shop, goes to dress the boy's mother's hair, but ruins the old lady's tresses by forgetting to turn off the current in the waving apparatus. She later squares herself with the boy's mother by capturing burglars in the act of stealing their family silver and jewels. Her courage wins over the old lady, who consents to her son marrying Wanda. Written by Universal Weekly, August 30, 1924 See less
