While there, Frank receives a note from his fiancée Myra Pope, asking him to stop in town for a night and attend a bridge game. Frank gets the townhouse key from his father and determines to dress there for the bridge game. He is detained at the office until late, and upon arriving at his home, finds that he has left the key at the office. He has no time to return for it, so he makes an entrance into the house through an open window at the back of the residence. He lays out his dress things and takes a bath. He is seen by the servants and the janitor opposite the house and they think he is a burglar and telephone for the police. A sergeant and several men arrive and arrest Frank for a burglar. He tries to explain, but they will not listen. At last he gets them to telephone Mr. Pope, and on hearing the news he and his daughter at once take a taxi and Mr. Pope, who is well-known, gives the police "the wink." They enter the taxi, tell the chauffeur to take Frank to the "lock up." Myra insists upon going with them. The chauffeur, who has been posted, takes them to the delayed bridge party.
