Slim's first job is lugging a piano box to the top floor of an apartment house and packing a piano into it under the direction of his boss "Buck" Bill, who then orders him to carry the piano down to the waiting truck while he makes love to Sally Sloppus, the apartment building's maid-of-all-work. Slim is game, so is the piano, and in the struggle which follows, Slim's attempts to take it from its home, the piano breaks away from him and together they hurdle the succeeding flights of the steps to the street, when it is discovered that the wrong piano had been moved.
