When the Master of the Hunt, James Marsham, receives an anonymous letter saying her death was a good thing, he asks the police to investigate. ACC Rebecca Fenning puts Dalziel in charge of the case and he would rather be doing almost anything else. He doesn't object to fox hunting as much as he does the hunters who he sees as the privileged gentry who treat working class people like him as dirt. They exhume Webster's body and find that her fall may not have been an accident after all. DC Shirley 'Ivor' Novello joins the hunting set undercover but the ACC orders the investigation shut down when Andy puts his foot in it. A second murder re-opens the case yet again and while some suspicion has fallen on the local anti-fox hunting group, the killer is much closer to home. Written by garykmcd See less
