He is informed that he is too old to take part in a show regardless of the fact that in former years he was a star of no mean repute. He returns home to his wife and tells her that it is impossible to obtain employment. After he has pawned most of his belongings he and his wife go through the streets begging, where they are met by a leading actor of the day, who at one time was given advice which placed him at the head of his profession.
