Then, one day, after one son, Ryan, attempts to shock his brother, Wade, with static electricity, the electricity is instead transferred to the clothes pile in the brothers' room and is brought to life. The clothes-pile monster is named Klutter, who accompanies Ryan, Wade, their little sister Sandee, and their neighbors/friends Vanna Ervin and Kopp on the adventures they have together, all the while unbeknownst to the Heap kids' parents, John and Andrea.
