Virginia infiltrates Newport society and discovers that Mrs. Palmer, wife of a wealthy resident, is involved with Vincent Cortez, a foreign adventurer. Cortez gives Mrs. Palmer counterfeit bills which Virginia removes from a safe while being watched by Stuart Kent, who is in love with her. Later Kent becomes angry when he sees Cortez embrace Virginia. She leads detectives to a yacht used as headquarters by the counterfeiters. The gang is arrested and she gains the reward.
