Larry leaves Vera's house unaware that German spies are attempting to steal the plans for her invention. At a restaurant, Larry turns out not to be wealthy, but simply one of the waiters. When Vera and her father arrive at the restaurant, they are shocked to see Larry working there, but even more shocked when the restaurant owner turns out to be the ringleader of the gang of spies.
