They arrange, a contest to decide which shall marry her and Scott wins out by a trick. Old man Lantry is suspicious of Scott, and tells him to earn a thousand dollars before he can marry Moya. Scott rides away and encounters Manuel Baca, a disreputable Mexican, who plans to hold up the stage. Scott joins him in the venture, which proves successful, but. while escaping with his share of the plunder, Moya and Davis discover him.
