Broncho races on his horse ahead of them and tells him of the plot. They barricade the doors, but the lynching party breaks them down and drag the two men away to string them up. But the girl has seen them and raced for the sheriff, who arrives just in time to prevent the lynching. The land grabber experiences a change of heart.
