Additional Resume Info (submitted by page owner via IMDb Resume)

Screen work includes national distribution and television network movies, indie features and shorts, TV episodes (domestic and foreign), industrials,as well as a wide variety of miscellaneous productions.

Screen productions have ranged from gripping drama to farcical comedy and
sentimental tear-jerkers. The wide variety of character roles played have included the loony, the mean and the pathetic; the wicked, the heroic and the devious; the outrageous, the victimized, and the authoritative; the destitute, the sage and the debonair; the dynamic and the feeble; the lusty and the senile,
from virile vigor to decrepit mortality. As one casting director put it:
"Jack's acting persona is not vanilla, but chocolate with sprinkles".

Several decades of continuous foreign residence in Latin America, France
and divers countries throughout Africa facilitated stage performances in
English and Spanish language productions in various countries, including
works by Anderson, Anouilh, Axelrod, Chekhov, Gilbert & Sullivan, Lerner & Loewe, Roussin, Shaffer, Wilde, Wilder and Wouk; as well as voice-over
recordings for the French Foreign Legion in Djibouti.

Sporadic visits to the USA included study in the Performing Arts at the
Boston University Theater Institute, several film gigs, and stage
performances in Florida and Georgia, involving, among others, works by
Albee, Friel, Lerner & Loewe, and Miller.

For more than ten years, in various countries and cities here at home, in a
wide variety of venues, Jack staged his one-man show based on the works of
    Edgar Allan Poe.

More recently, John Archer has immersed himself in continual screen work,
while performing regularly on stages throughout North/Central Florida,
interpreting, for example: works by Chekhov, Shakespeare, Simon, Woldin,
Sondheim and Letts; musical shows for school children; and non-singing
performances with the Orlando Opera Company ("Elixir of Love",
    "Tosca","Turnadot" and "Cavalleria Rusticana").

John Archer played Rabbi Furtado in the 2005 South-Eastern USA premiere of
"The King of Schnorrers" by Judd Woldin, winner of a Tony Award in 1974 for
his score for the musical "Raisin". Other fun stuff has included: the
Magistrate in two separate productions of Neil Simon's "Fools"; the bizarre
old geezer, Congressman Salt, in Michel Parker's "The Sensuous Senator",
which was the comedy hit of Jacksonville, Florida's 2003-2004 theater
season; Grandpa "G", the giant tortoise, in the children's musical "The
Tortoise and the Hare"; Marcus Lycus, the peddler of beautiful women, in "A
Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"; and more recently, Bud Todd,
the lascivious lonely-wife chaser in Tracy Letts' "Man From Nebraska".
The Fall of 2008 provided an opportunity to play the outrageously rickety
miser, Jethro Crouch, in "Sly Fox" by Larry Gelbart, the creator of

Other favorite stage roles from the past have included Captain Queeg in
"The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial", Milo Tindle in "Sleuth", Lady Bracknell
in "The Importance of Being Earnest", the psychopathic Jerry in Albee's
"Zoo Story" and Father Jack in "Dancing at Lughnasa".

Filming for "Mission" in Ethiopia, in early 2011, took Lundgren back to his former stomping grounds in Africa, where he had resided, previously, for more than two decades. Although much of the principal filming for that action thriller had taken place earlier, additional key scenes were filmed back on location in Addis Abba, as well as at several exotic locations of traditional importance in the Northern reaches of that ancient country praising origins dating back to biblical times.

Here is the trailer to that tale of international intrigue starring Ethiopia's foremost actress, Jemanesh Solomon, along with Lundgren as the infamous international racketeer of unknown national origins, who previously specialized in the smuggling of weapons with payment in blood diamonds (similar to the real-life Viktor Bout, former Russian Colonel extradited to the US from Thailand in November 2010); however, Lundgren's character is, now, engaged in far more heinous crime.

Education includes a Doctorat es Lettres from the Universite de Lille
(France); training in the Performing Arts at the Boston University Theater
Institute; graduate study at the Instituto Ecuatoriano de Derecho
Internacional in Quito, Ecuador; and undergraduate study in Colorado
    (B.S.), Mexico and Missouri.
