    In 2013-2014 He set a historical record by winning ALL Best Actor awards offered locally in Egypt for his outstanding portrayal of an old man facing death in Villa 69.

    As a producer, since 2009, Abol Naga was among a generation that created a new wave of possibilities in the independent film production, from co-producing Heliopolis 2009 which went on to feature in over a dozen festivals, to the revolutionary production Microphone 2010 in which a new technology of DSLR photography cameras were used; He is among a leading team in Cairo Team-Cairo that is becoming a seed of a new movement of indie film-making evolving out of the region.

    Khaled Abol Naga is an Honours graduate of Telecommunications Engineering at Ain Shams Univ. Cairo, 1988.

    Spacecraft Design Engineering at University of Surrey, UK 1992. 

    Drama and Theatre at the American University in Cairo 1990, & Filmmaking in the United States.

    His pan Arab fan base began with his successful TV career as a successful talk shows TV host in the Nile TV Entertainment Network 1997.

    Naga acted in several award winning university theatre productions:

    - Bill Sikes in "Oliver!" 1989 Directed by Walter Eyesslink & MD Larry Catlin,
    - Naguib in "Lovestruck" 1993 by Mahmoud El Lozy.
    - He wrote & directed award winning "Truly Madly Deeply" in 1990.

    Kal Naga directed a unique arabic contemporary adaptation of Lionel Bart's musical "Oliver!" in Amman Jordan, 1-3 September 2015, backed up by theatre producer & impresario Sir Cameron Mackintosh and RDP: a drama therapy project for Jordanian underprivileged and Syrian refugee children.

    Naga's hit success started as the lead in Egypt's prominent director Daoud Abdel Sayed's film "A Citizen, A Detective & A Thief" in 2001, followed by the hit debut of director Hani Khalifa "Sleepless Nights" & written by Tamer Habib in 2003.

    Naga is known for his diverse choices of roles in Arabic, English and other languages!:
    from the musical "None but that!" in 2006 by Khaled El Hagar, the multi award winning Mohamed Khan’s "In the Heliopolis Flat" in 2007, to the American/Canadian indie "Civic Duty" in 2007, the Egyptian Italian in "Harb Atalia" 2006 and an action drama film "Agamista" in 2008.

    Naga started producing independent films in 2009 with great success: He produced several multi award winning films: Ahmad Abdalla's "Heliopolis" (2009) and the ground breaking "Microphone" (2010), then Ayten Amin's "Villa 69" (2014) which brought him local and international attention for his mature and subtle performance of an older grumpy terminally ill "Hussein".
