  • * Headed by producers Steak House and Dominic Ottersbach, Steakhaus Productions is an award-winning independent film production company dedicated to bringing bold, new visions to movie audiences everywhere. They have been an unstoppable force in Indie film making for the last 15 years, erupting onto the scene with the indie favorite By Hook or By Crook, a Sundance premiere and five-time best feature winner. Steakhaus films have long enjoyed success on the festival circuit, including LAFF, Tribeca, Outfest and four films at Sundance. Their popular documentary about passionate Dolly Parton fans, For the Love of Dolly, broadcast on MTV’s Logo. Their indie romantic comedies, Weather Girl and 6 Month Rule sold to Film Buff, Screen Media, Regent, Lifetime and Showtime.

    Steakhaus Productions has over 10 years of experience in production management, line-producing and producing. Specializing in physical production, the company takes projects from paper to distribution by providing comprehensive development, production, post-production and festival strategies. Coordinating experience includes The Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions and several animated Nickelodeon, Sony and WB cartoon series. Line producing credits include Sunset Strip The Movie, Secret Lives of Dorks for Steven J. Wolfe, and Supremacy, Chain Letter, The Hustle and Nite Tales for Deon Taylor and Jamie Foxx (No Brainer Films).

    In the last 2 years Steakhaus has produced 9 extraordinary films that are currently on the festival circuit and entering distribution. Films include Life of a King starring Cuba Gooding Jr, premiered at LAFF 2013 (distribution Millenium), GBF, starring Natasha Lyonne and Evanna Lynch, premiered at Tribeca 2013 (distribution Vertical) and Life Partners, a Sundance Lab Project, starring Gillian Jacobs, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody premieres at Tribeca 2014. In between films, they also produced on 3 successful web series, Fact Checkers Unit for Samsung, Lauren for Wigs (Rodrigo Garcia and John Avnet) and Black Box TV (Anthony Zuiger and the Collective).
